Position Summary:
Universal Biotechnology Private Limited, a leading importer and exporter of research-use products such as ELISA kits, Biochemical assay kits, Antibodies, Protein and Molecular Biology products, and selected Equipment, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving business growth and establishing our presence in major cities including New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, and Hyderabad.
Primary Responsibilities:
The main responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Develop and implement business development strategies to expand our market presence.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and clients in the research and biotechnology sectors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
- Conduct market research to identify trends and customer needs.
- Prepare and deliver presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create and execute effective marketing campaigns.
- Monitor and report on sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to represent the company.
- Provide feedback to the product development team to align offerings with market demand.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the biotechnology or life sciences industry.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
- Qualification background in Chemistry, Biology – scientific, technical, sales, business development or some combination thereof is required. an advanced with the degree ( Biotechnology - B.Tech , MBA ) is preferred.
- A proven track record of 0-2 years of relevant experience selling a portfolio of Molecular Biology and Immunology ,Cytology etc
Other Requirements
- Willingness to travel frequently to major cities and other locations as required.
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as necessary.
- Previous company experience letter.
